His newer series, Parts Unknown, got a little too heavy into politics. For like 15 mins each episode, they always interviewed the local person running for some office, talked the policy, and even on the England episode, his host said that she was tired of talking about Brexit and asked him to drop it.
I really loved his older ones. No Reservations and The Layover really shined. Lots of great stories about the history of the food, cooking it for hours, or prepping days in advanced. RIP
