True, but I don't think public sector work is comparatively large there. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm just assuming.
I got the impression from the video that it was military/tourism, and support.
Military may technically be public sector, but it's a different animal than the Union dominated other areas. I think it's the union influence that reinforces voting left for most public. But for the same reason (self-interest) military jobs traditionally benefit more from the right.

That is what I was thinking; but, apart from the military most people employed by the federal gov. tend to vote democrat. Just look at DC. It might end up being more split than we think. Then again those deregulation issues they want for shipping, airlines, and small business scream conservative.
