There's 2 or 3 versions of the story on youtube. This one from a Joe Rogan podcast, which I think is the oldest. And one or two where he tells the story on stage.
I like this version best. It seems more like an off the cuff telling instead of a scripted and practiced routine. Also, I heard this version first, so that may have influenced me.

I was happy to see that someone had animated it.

Yeah, this one is better. You can tell he's reliving the story and not reading the script.

What a life. I bet he's a blast to hang out with.

I think this was the first time he told it in a public setting and it was really well received, so he made an act of it.
You can hear it in his voice, the excitement someone gets when reliving an exciting event. Makes it more believable too.

Greatest life ever. I think I remember him telling how he was in college, and doing well enough, but was recruited to be a full-time partyguy, so he dropped out to pursue his career in binge-drinking.
And it worked! Somehow, he's a success story.
