The Shadowrun games are like that.
I mean, it's cyberpunk. But there's trolls, and dragons, and magic, oh my!
This is pretty much the game in a nutshell, only more desperate and unforgiving.
Street proverb:
Watch your back!
Shoot straight!
Conserve Ammo!
NEVER, EVER make a deal with a dragon!
That's a better comparison.
I used to play Shadowrun 2nd edition, pencil/paper version.
But that was a long time ago.
Oh yeah, I did some 4th and a little 5th. Technomancers are so fucking cool. They're literally technology mages, and can connect to the net without any hardware required. They're basically online all the time. And they can hack like any decker, but also summon sprites (spirits in the machine) to help them out, similar to spirits for mages.
Like mages, they have to keep their essence up, so that basically means no cyberware/bioware, although it might be a good deal if you get the right stuff.
I also made a B&E gal that was a blast to play. She was English, so I looked up all kinds of English slang and talked like that through the game, aiming to make what I was saying as incomprehensible as possible. Since I was trying to be English, that was easily done. :p
Also an Orc street samurai/detective who was tons of fun. Limited adventures overall, but the game is super-neat.
I want to see that.
