I switched over to them from Three last month because Three put their unlimited data thing up to £25 from £20, and it was actually £15 at one point, greedy bastards.

It was basically ok for the entire month. They give you 6gb of data for £20, and after that they throttle the shit out of you through the day, but between 12-8am they don't throttle you, which is decent for me because that is when I use the internet the most. I was getting up to 50mbps on a night.

I got £20 of credit the other day because my monthly thing ran out, and then when I went to buy the unlimited data, it was greyed out. I was confused and started trying to find out why, and saw that there was a message on my account saying that they would not be letting me buy unlimited data anymore because they had emailed me about how I was "using too much data during peak times" and I hadn't stopped. First of all, this is total bullshit, because I was not using a lot of data during peak times, as it is fucking impossible to use a lot of data when you're being throttled at 256kbps during peak times. Secondly, I received no contact whatsoever from them about it, which is the reason I bought more credit this month without realising they had cut me off.

So I send them a message to complain, and ask them to explain why they are not letting me buy more unlimited data, and they tell me that they won't be allowing me to purchase unlimited data due to my "truly exceptional data usage".

I've decided to move back to Three for obvious reasons, but I thought I should use the giffgaff credit first because it doesn't make sense to not use the £20 I can't get back. I bought the £18 thing they do that gives you 6gb, and when I started using the internet it used up my £2 of credit first, before using the thing that I had just bought. Then they cut me off for half an hour for using too much data.

IT IS 7AM ON A FUCKING SUNDAY, HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE USING YOUR SHITTY FUCKING NETWORK AT 7AM ON A SUNDAY

I hope you all die a slow and painful death. You are literal scum. The slight loss you would have taken by letting me continue to use "truly exceptional amounts of data" at peak times is nothing compared to the total loss you are going to take from a lifetime of me convincing people not to use your shitty network.

I got a deal on 3 in January that gives me 30GB data, 600 minutes and unlimited texts for £18 a month. Might be worth asking?

That 30GB one has gone up to £22. It's not really worth getting, because the unlimited is only £3 more.
