Blaming "the government" for covid response is really pretty juvenile. Why aren't those scientists blaming the WHO and CDC for giving bad advice to the public (don't wear masks, there is no proof of communal transmission, don't restrict travel)? The government is just made up of fools that could easily be your drunk neighbor who happens to be good at giving speeches. They are a largely inept bunch that has no expertise and putting faith in them is just plain dumb.
