Boris is threading on thin fucking ice here. I can't imagine public opinion backing this, or the opposition. I haven't seen DUP's reaction but i reckon they wont be pleased either, and Boris damn well needs them to keep this shit together. To bad the queen didn't refuse, that would have been a whole new constitutional crisis.
