im curious where you are getting that cdc report because the report i'm looking at supports that this year has had the most deaths but I can't find one from this year, only past years that support it.

i'm not saying we should be locking down hard or disputing that corona isn't a major killer but stopping it before it becomes an additional annually mutating old people killer would be a good thing. also, asians wear masks and their life expectancy seems to be pretty good, maybe old people should have been wearing masks all along.

I stand corrected, this article quotes the latest CDC nbr which has total deaths in the US for 2020 higher than preceding years. By about 15%, which isn't a huge increase but nonetheless is significant.

But even the article makes the point that the increase is not necessarily due to Covid. In fact there's a good argument being made that thanks to concerns about Covid -- but not the disease itself -- deaths are up. Suicides is the obvious one but it's also been noted that potentially fatal conditions such as circulatory issues and cancer are not being caught early or at all because people are generally not going to their doctors this year.

This doesn't even touch on the inaccuracy of PCR and antibody testing which is at least as high as 90%.

Don't get me started on masks but I think it is important to note that not all Asians have longer life spans. Japanese do this it true but it was true long before any of this mask nonsense began.

im not necessarily against propaganda meant to keep the sheep mollified. have you met the sheep? i'd rather they stay docile. as long as the propaganda still has facts in it, its still usable to me. just reader beware.

*i should add that while its important to keep them docile, i think trump went too far in downplaying covid to the masses. too many people think there should be no repercussions to the disease.

"im not necessarily against propaganda" Do what you want, of course, but I think you should revisit that statement. Propaganda exists for one reason only: To mislead and thereby control. If you think there is even one case where this is justified then you and I are on very opposite sides of that equation. In effect you're saying that it's okay to lead the sheep around because they're sheep. Well all you've done is include yourself in with the sheep. And in which case it's clear the Jews have already won.

I should correct my initial opinion on the article that you posted. Calling it propaganda was more or a knee jerk reaction to the general Covid and mask pandering that's rampant these days. But I was wrong. After re-reading the article more carefully I have to acknowledge that it actually is a responsible description of the situation. The title is alarmist though and that's where the propaganda comes in. In fact deaths do appear to be up BUT it's not directly due to Covid. Is there a reason to be alarmed? Well yes probably because 15% is not insignificant. But getting alarmed because of Covid is, at least based on the current data, incorrect.
