Williams was cited with one count of violating Garfield Heights Municipal Ordinances 505.215(A) that states that "[n]o person shall own, keep, harbor or have on public or private property a pit bull dog" as defined by the ordinance. A violation of the ordinance is a third-degree misdemeanor.
I used to live half an hour from there. The only pet-specific laws were for exotic pets that could become invasive like prarie dogs or releasing parakeets
