i dont really understand why they think antagonizing them is a good idea. of course they'll get assaulted walking through an antifa camp all day when they write stories like these. dont get me wrong, it's not right, speech and press shouldn't be suppressed, but when you jump into a lion enclosure at the zoo are you not expecting to get mauled?

Andy wasn't antagonizing anyone. He was there to report on the event. Antifa knows who he is and they attacked him.

yeah, and if he's written venom filled storied like this one, he definitely should have expected an assault. just showing up and making your presence known, walking through their camp with cameras pointed every which way is very much antagonizing them. every camera pointed at them is an attempt to identify and prosecute them in their eyes. why would they not fuck people up who are doing that?

I get the point you're making but I disagree with you.

Yes, he's trying to catch them committing crimes. Of course they're going to fuck with him. The point (as I see it) is not that he shouldn't have expected otherwise, but that he wouldn't have to do it if the police and 'regular' media did their jobs.
