It is easy to dismiss this as Trump rhetoric, but it is a good question. Why does CA have so many of these fires? Are they managing these forests correctly?

6 years of intense drought has some side effects.

Over ten+ years of socialist control over the forestry service & BLM....preventing cutting down dead trees, clearing undergrowth, 'controlled burns', etc., also come at a cost.

Doubt he will do it, even though hitting the lefturds in the wallet is the only thing that might bring them back to reality. So long as the Feds continue to foot the bill so that 'tards can rebuild their houses in a floodzone, tornado alley, etc., they got zero incentive not to, and so long as the Feds continue to foot the bill for forest fires, California politicians have no reason to practice safe(r) forestry management.

So long as the Feds continue to fund 'tards to rebuild their houses in a flood zone or tornado alley, they got zero incentive to build in a safe(r) location, and so long as the Feds fund California wildfires, the politicians got zero incentive to practice safe(r) forestry management.
