Gahahaha. I love Sowell. Super intelligent and actually from the hood, so he actually knows the struggle firsthand. It also allowed him to completely ignore the "race-baiters" when he finally attended college (29 when he started, I think), since his time in both the hood and the wealthy neighborhood he split his time between growing up showed him that it wasn't a malicious racist scheme, but rather that hard work actually mattered for success.
