idk how many but yeah its a statistically insignificant amount that get in trouble but from a north korean perspective, they see americans coming to vacation there, it lends support to the message that north korea is much more of a paradise than america and gives money directly to the regime and should an incident occur, you are their hostage & bargaining chip.

for a european its different, they havent been threatening to nuke europe for the last 20 years. i'd love to go there, i just think any american who does so is a fool for perpetuating the regime by just being there or, if they are arrested, whatever ransom or consessions it takes to get released.
