So much for stepping in and making things better

It’s as if nobody commenting here has read how the executive order actually was going to lower these prices.

Tell us how, or post a link with a readable explanation that supports your comment. Thanks.

This executive order directs the Secretary of HHS to require federally-qualified health centers (FQHC)’s that participate in the 340B Drug Pricing Program to provide all insulin and injectable epinephrine products purchased under the 340B program to their low-income patients at the same price at which the drug was acquired. The order conditions future federal grants to FQHCs on the provision of these drugs to low-income patients at the discounted price that the drugs were purchased under the 340B program. The order defines low-income patients as any patient that has a high cost-sharing requirement for either insulin or injectable epinephrine products, or has a high unmet deductible, or has no health insurance.

In short, any comment complaining about how the pharmaceutical companies are profiting from this are pulled from rear ends.

Without knowing more about it, I can’t say whether it’s a good move or not. For all I know, FQHC’s depend on the income to remain operating, and it is maybe sensible to give them sixty more days to try to make up the budget shortfall.
