IKR? The current system has been played and cornered to the point that it cannot function the way it was intended and no amount of reshuffling of politicians, parties, or policies will fix it. To that end, we need a kind of an "ultimate gamechanger." This is why I support Trump and what he does. I hate a lot of it but I recognize that these things need to change and if we do what we've always done, we'll get what we've always gotten. The only way forward is to do things that are contrary to established practices.
Unsurprisingly, democrats tend to be wholly against this, largely because "they were winning" that journey. And, as Jordan Peterson so eloquently put it, the Church of Blue is falling. That is a reference to how democrats gain immense power through civil rights movements, having championed it despite being the party against said civil rights.
They know that this represents a fundamental shift which will completely shatter the party and the way things are done and they will fight to the point of violence to preserve it. To wit, how many MAGA hat wearers have been assaulted in the last 2 years? The pendulum will swing back and the next time democrats take control, they will not be prepared for the amount of violence that will be pointed at them courtesy of their own examples now. But if you point this out, you are one linked to one of those six words the democrats like to use (Nazi, Klan, Racist, Russian, Rape, Child) in a denegrative manner with a neat little kafkatrap package. They just double down.
Hence the need for accelerationism.
