maybe thats experience like the owner of the bar i mentioned has.
his dad ran one of the most popular bars in the city, earned a pretty good fortune. his son worked as a bartender for a while, eventually dad gave son money to open his own bar. son spent an obscene amount to design the diviest dive bar that's totally not a dive bar. son got a reputation for borderline dateraping the girls who would go to his bar (y'know, the whole introduce yourself as the young, rich owner, get her drunk, offer her drugs, take her home, call my daddy's lawyer if you have a problem with it in the morning). somehow manage to get a tv show to dump more money into the bar. bar still fails. dad finally pulls the plug, son goes back to work as bartender at dad's successful bar. dad retires, son takes over successful bar. predictably runs it into the ground. now son works as a consultant for people opening new bars.
I thought the whole premise of the show is that the host (who is an annoying fuck) has decades of bar experience.
