So instead of campaigning to change the laws, they want to get rid of the agency appointed to enforce the laws. I wonder if any Democrats feel the same about the ATF.

One thing I've noticed about the Dems, especially since Trump won, is that they don't often try to change laws they disagree with (even if they agreed with them during the Obama years). They've been trying to circumvent the laws instead.

One thing that Trey Gowdy said in a video has stuck with me ever since I heard it. It's been a while so I can only summarize it:

You don't get to pick and choose which laws you want to follow, abandoning the ones you don't like. Good luck trying to show that there's any difference between that and anarchy.

That combined with what you noted is why I find myself having to repeatedly say "If you don't like a law, change it. Don't break the law simply because it doesn't suit you. Follow the law until you can get it changed." Usually, the only response I get is either crickets or more crying and screaming. Most of the left, notably the far or radical left, has turned into a day care without a caretaker, filled with tantrums and crying. This is, as far as I've been able to remember, a relatively recent change so I have to wonder what got inside and started rot from the inside out.

For a political party that makes sense, especially since they're the ones advocating to be in charge of making laws.
As a small-L libertarian I take a different approach when it comes to individual actions. To quote Bernardo de la Paz (The Moon is a Hardh Mistress), "I will accept any rules that you feel necessary to your freedom. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do."

And another: "I would be satisfied to have the Golden Rule be the only law; I see no need for any other, nor for any method of enforcing."

I love it every time I read this in an article:

Deb Haaland, who would be first Native American woman in Congress if she's elected...

You would think that if anyone understands the harm of uncontrolled immigration it would be Native Americans.

Exactly! How the fuck do they not see this?
I guess she's just blinded by party politics.
