That is a pretty cool article, we get segments and articles about farming innovations regularly in our media but this is a well written English piece.

The new generation of farmers in NL has become much more a manager/engineer then anything else. Science and automation have been/are being implemented rather swiftly. As it shows to be much more efficient and hence profittable. Modern farmers and our Agricultural university are closely working together in a market fashion.

I'd also like to put more emphasis on the fact that the Dutch are incredibly efficient in just about anything and especially with our land. (I mean we reclaimed it from the sea, so its pretty valuable to us) The article does leave out the fact that we use delta-river polders with very rich soils and an abundancy of fresh water/rain as a basis for our agricultural progress.
