[The following is one of many anonymous notes and letters found at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.]

Before he left, he taught me how to drive his car. Then he left it to me to take care of it “’til he got back.”

”Dad survived Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal and all that. I’m a Marine. I’ll be back. Take care of my car.”

I’ve still got the car. I would rather have my brother back.

US still hasn't learned to stay out of conflicts in former European colonies. Europeans screwed those places up, let the Europeans clean it up.

Or even better let the locals clean up their own countries and everyone else just make sure no genocides occur.

let the Europeans clean it up.

Nope, that would do no good. Let them develop on their own.

I meant more of policing than handling the development of the countries. The Europeans screwed them up to begin with so all they should be doing is security assistance when asked.
