A lot of the raging against automation reminds me of the luddites back in the day. The horseless carriage was heralded as a destroyer of jobs. We all know how that worked out.

I don't have anything against automating jobs, I just don't think some of those jobs are in as much danger as they think.

I've automated, by my estimate, 5-10 people out of a job in the last two years. I don't feel bad about it at all because the kind of work I automate, is the kind of work nobody should be doing anyway. There is a lot of dumb bullshit paper pushing that people do in all industries that really doesn't benefit society. As more jobs automate away, whole new industries open up.
