Hey that future is here. I'm on an interviewing blitz for a super mega Corp and I can't tell you the last time I thought a candidate was qualified. They're generally all retarded...It's sad

I hear that a lot, but I don't believe it. There are thousands of qualified people out there. Here is how to get them

  • Offer strong pay and benefits--not shit "market competitive" pay
  • Have a company culture and values that isn't a sweat shop and doesn't reward manipulative, destructive drama and egotistical personalities
  • Think about your interview process and interview in ways that actually reflect what skills and competencies you need, not brain teasers, impossible and unnecessary standards of "10+ year experience" in whatever, and disorganized interviews where you cycle through three teams of interviewers back-to-back without any coordination or plan for what each group is doing.

That's about it. The more specific and demanding you become in your requirements, the longer you'll have to wait to make your fill, so once again think about what you actually need, and don't just make some requirements and follow some procedure because "that's how everyone does hiring".
