I just don't understand why everyone went to one site when hundreds of reddit tier sites should be recreated almost daily... like laundry... things get old.... and faster now

Unfortunately the game is solved because anti-social media like Reddit and digg have been around long enough that there is an extensive history of reposts. Bots post recycled content in a loop and other bots post former top or high upvoted comments into the thread in an effort to farm accounts for sale. Wherever there is high traffic content will turn into bots reposting, sold bots shilling, and current events.

It would be interesting to create a site that is openly hostile to commercial, government, and propaganda interests as part of its terms of service. I wonder what fraction of posts and "users" on the news/politics subreddits are groups trying to influence the masses. I don't imagine any of this could be enforced, but it would be interesting to see if many of these problems are caused by these organizations or if people really just do suck.
