by all indications, the hole probably wasn’t created by an impact with space junk or micrometeoroids, which left open the possibility it was created by a human.
There's two holes. Both look like someone was messing about with a drill bit, skip marks before being pushed through.
The oddest part of the story is the suggestion and reporting that space debris may have caused it.
Maybe it was a throw away part, that ended up being used, due to Russia.
