Just gonna point out, the underside of that craft looks identical to the hull of most late 90's ski boats. Considering that the legitimacy of the craft is being called into question even by the article itself, it really wouldn't surprise me to find out it actually was the hull of a ski boat.
Also, I can't be the only person that thinks the top view looks a bit like a plucked chicken.
