There was another of those jetpack-like gizmos, it was able to fly for about 100m decades ago. For some reasons it never got popular.

Oh look, you can fly for almost half an hour between recharging. Also there are "flying cars" on the market, no one has them because it's a lot of paperwork and red tape to use them.
