They used fake metal tubes to emulate the cables that a traditional suspension bridge would use. All the people who signed off on those plans deserve to spend the rest of their lives in prison.

where did you get this info?

Everything I find seems to suggest that because women worked at the company at various levels, therefore the team that designed the bridge as all female.
