I've never used Twitter, so I am comparing it to forum-like sites like Eddit or Voat.
Different subs can attract different combinations of users leading to many different and potentially opposing communities more or less coexisting.
There's always issues with people driving outside their lanes, but that's the idea.
Gab seemed to have everyone in one pool.
It may be my inexperience with the site. I didn't setup or configure anything. There was some other issues also, I made a post about it where I go into more detail.

Elaborate. Feels normal to me. I never used Twitter before using gab, so maybe I'm missing something.
