"If I had a phone that I hadn’t used in years, and I made it a regular practice to change passwords, you can find credibility for somebody saying I don't remember the password,"

This is what I was thinking while reading. Sometimes these trials can take years and if you do change your password often, there's a good chance most people wouldn't be able to remember. The next worry is how long until they make a fingerprint required in phones so nobody can use this defense or so they can get in if you die.

Even if this was the case, I don't think it would matter. Every time there is some kind of restriction or invasion of privacy, someone finds a way around it. I don't worry about law changes surrounding the internet/tech as much anymore because by the time they are implemented there will most likely be a workaround. Even the shady laws surrounding encryption can be somewhat bypassed by using a decoy password to open up a fake drive.

yeah. Passwords to delete all info too.

That's what I need. I don't keep sensitive financial information or anything on any of my devices, but having the option to just get rid of of everything easily like that would be baller.
