I fell into a youtube hole a while back about the bodies on Everest.
Its fascinating how many people died up there, and some of the stories. Like Beck Weathers who was left for dead, but then got up and came down on his own after a nap.
'Green boots' and some of the others have now been moved or recovered. There were some Indian teams that were going up for them. It caused a bit of controversy because some feel that lives should not be risked to retrieve bodies.
Hannelore Schmatz, the sitting woman, also seems to be gone. If I remember right, she was first seen covered, then later gone entirely, possibly retrieved by climbers that knew the couple.
I'm too lazy to look it all up again, but it was an interesting journey.
