My personal vote is Mike Birbiglia - My Girlfriend's Boyfriend from 2013. I watched this on Netflix on a whim and from that point forward Mike has been one of my favorite comedians. He transformed what I thought was possible of a stand-up routine by telling what is essentially his life story in the style of frame while remaining focused, hilarious, and sentimental. This special is still available on Netflix and I highly recommend this one for anybody.
