It's KY Derby day being televised on NBC (US). I looked for a link I could share but they were either spammy or wanted me to register to use ... so I figured that anyone interested could either see it on NBC or search out a link they choose themselves.
It sure was. And those guys behind the leaders were covered head to toe in mud. I never saw a derby like that one.

Me neither. I was grilling chicken about 4 miles from the track and I was absolutely drenched just from going in and out of the house. I couldn't imagine riding in those track conditions.

Had to almost feel sorry for all those dressed up women and their fancy hats. One one side, the hats are wide brimmed, so like mini-umbrellas, but on the other they probably ruined them.

That was a really good race. I was seriously expecting some carnage as a result of the mud but ended up with just a really solid good race.
