It looks like I'll finish in top 10, and I'll be playing some more tonight, but I think top 4 is going to be out of the question at this point.
When the deadline is over I'll upload the ROM and post it here if anyone wants to try playing it.

PMYA is our resident speedrunner. There's a whole community (i forget the name) that do weekly contests where hundreds of people replay the classics. It's pretty neat.
