NASA Awards Contract to Launch Initial Elements for Lunar Outpost

The US government already pays for the development of larger fairings for another mission. These would be an option.

i havent heard anything about development of larger fairings for spacex since ULA blocked them for using their intellectual property

afaik thats for importing larger fairings from switzerland, most of the money is for the vertical integration
