I wish I could be alive when we have turned the whole moon into a giant spacestation. That would be something to see.

We can't move it though, or it would be hell to pay on Earth.

It will slowly get covered.

In the far future they might move it if they can equip it with enough propulsion systems.

Without the moon though, the Earth as we know it wouldn't exist.
