Are the users allowed to know how you know?
Last I checked the site's attitude concerning the collection of personal info was to prioritize privacy. Being able to reliably identify alts seems to contradict this.
We don't collect email addresses or any personal info on account creation, unless the user provides an address willingly.
Having said that, there are certain markers that can be used to correlate alt accounts. I can't really say much more than that.

They are not assumptions, we know when people are creating alts on the site. Feel free to ask literally any other admin about it and they will say the same thing.
