We were on the couch, getting ready to go to the back so she could go to sleep, but it was a funny thought.

The conversation started when I asked her if she would be willing to move if I got a great job somewhere else, but had to travel. It's a big deal for her, since a lot of her extended family all live in the same area, and we're right in the middle of it. She's never lived more than walking distance from most of her family.

Canada is probably the most acceptable place to travel to - things are similar enough to the United States that we wouldn't be lost, and English is still the predominant language outside of Quebec. England is different enough that it would take a little getting used to. Of course, any nation where English is not predominant would be difficult, but likely not impossible since a lot of Europeans seem to at least know some English.

You're being tongue-in-cheek, I know, but many politics/policies there (not immigration) are not to my liking. But if it means however much money, stomaching it for 3-4 years and then returning to America seems like it would be OK. At least, to me.
