That one was pretty good too! Have to admit I'd never looked into shorts before but I'm absolutely hooked. In all seriousness I can't recall the last movie that held my attention, everything is so recycled and it's like they're against novel ideas. Technology has come far enough that a small amount of investment can go very far into production. It's an exciting time.
I should probably warn you that I'm feeding the best-of-the-best into my sub here. For every one film of this quality, there's a hundred crappy college film course final projects to sift through. The good news is that I've got a big backlog of my favorite films that I'll be posting.
On the topic of budget, Oats Studios is also an odd duck. They've been bleeding money since they formed, mostly trying to gain a cult following that they can spin into a new model for selling entertainment. Hopefully it works for them, because they're the best at what they do.
Also, welcome to Phuks: where on any given weekday you tend to have 5 conversations with the same guy at the same time. lol
I'm glad someone likes what I'm posting! I really love well crafted short films. If you liked this one, I have a feeling you might also enjoy "Firebase" by the same studio. They're on another level with their special effects.
