Me too. 4 to 6 hours. If I get less than 5 and a half, a single 20 minute nap around 2 makes me good for the rest of the day. I actually kind of like it. I get so much more done. I've been halfway considering if going polyphasic sleep would work if I can integrate it into my work schedule.I would get SO much more done.

I started sleep short hours when I started puberty. My foster-parents had me in for sooo many tests and some overnight hospital stays to monitor my sleep to find out what was wrong.

Apparently, nothing :-) While I was expecting PJ, and again now, I can fall sleep at the drop of a hat and sleep 7-10 hours without even trying. It feels very unnatural.

Short sleep was a godsend during college.

It's awesome for not feeling like work is the majority of my life because it's not even half of my waking hours. When I got my associate's degree, I was taking a double courseload, worked 4 part time jobs, kept a 4.0, AND had a social life. You absolutely aren't kidding when you talk about how it's an advantage.

Yes, those are exactly my feelings. I couldn't have worked enough hours to manage tuition after my grants and scholarship money ran out. Requiring all those dead hours would have ended my college aspirations.
