We have enough empty flatlands to lay down a gigantic collider

It would obviously be a Swiss project since the French will surrender their land once we sternly look in their direction.

I want to work there!!

Remember Decay?

when I said we have lots of empty flatlands, I was referring to the US. Bigger is better.

Every fantastic discovery may, in fact, be a disaster. The alternative is riding a blind into a dead-end. We need to know to get mankind out of this endless cycle of build a little destroy a lot. There are too many people competing for dwindling resources.

What if the next big discovery allows us to generate a megawatt of energy from a 9v battery? Allows us to extract more more than we expended to generate it? Or some how counteract gravity?

There're too many possibilities to just stop looking.
