Food choice makes a big difference.

But a lot of low end foods are engineered to encourage binge eating. Who hasn't accidentally eaten an entire bag of something that you wanted to save for later?

there is a LOT of food engineering science that goes into this.

so yes, food discipline is important, but it is an uneven playing field when food is engineered to take advantage of the mechanisms of addiction to ramp up sales

It really can't get any simpler than "Stop shoving food in your facehole." There's nothing else, no excuse, no reason for someone to eat more than they need. Only lame nonsense excuses.
