I have no idea, I just had a blood test for something else and my doctor said that I'd had toxoplasmosis at some point in the recent past but it was no longer "active". I guess they found dead bits of it in my blood. This was around 2010 so I can't remember exactly what I was in for. I wasn't exactly a picture of health back then but he seemed to think that was significant and told me to be more careful with my cat.
Behavioral effects in mice are fascinating. I won't have a cat as a pet.

I used to have a huge issue with swollen glands in my pelvic area and was having aches and fatigue at that time as well. My last cat died two years ago and I've also refused to get another one. I really dislike going to my mothers because of the cat shit there, which is kept in the same toilet that people use. What's worse is if my mother is sick I have to go feed these cats and deal with the dried shit all over the place.
It's scary stuff, especially for children. What were your symptoms?
