It's actually kinda ironic because I live in one of the counties that is allowed to grow and market "Vidalia" onions and my grandparents were from one of the top producing counties for Vidalia onions.

Probably not, asparagus have a distinct flavor that isn't easily masked for me. At least broccoli and cabbage can be drowned in a tasty sauce to cover up their flavor. Asparagus are on my never eat list along with any type of onion (cause bad stomach discomfort), brussel sprouts, and kale.
