There was a guy on voat I once chatted with who claimed to have caught some giant catfish near the discharge pipes of this plant. We concluded that the warmer water likely allows them to be more active and thus forage for more food.

I thought that story was going to turn to catching a mutant catfish due to radiation--which would be nonsense--but you're definitely right that discharge would be warm. Nuclear plants always need access to huge amounts of water for cooling.
