There's been a few similar radiological incidents. All of them having to do with scrappers not knowing what they have there by contaminating themselves and everything else. I seem to recall two less severe incidents in Mexico city and India or Bangladesh or somewhere on that area.

I'll have to watch this later but i remember one story from South America where some guys dismantling some building found a small rock(or something) and took it home. It killed about 7 of his his family and friends and him and the co-woker before it was discovered for some highly radioactive thing and dealt with. Could have been bs too but I'll have a bit of a search later.
