Making a new thread in a more appropriate sub. @jobes and I have been discussing various movies for my kids to watch and thought I'd make a thread for it. My wife and I let them pick a movie for the entire family to watch every Friday or Saturday night. They've watched all the Star Wars movies, all the Indiana Jones movies, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies (oldest can't watch them at night because he gets nightmares occasionally), as well as The Goonies and some other classics. What else should be ok for them to watch?

Are your kids really scared of stuff like that? I never really had any "age limits" on anything when I was a kid, so it's kind of a strange concept to me.

It seems like the really ugly monsters give my oldest nightmares but only if he watches them before bed. If he watches that stuff during the day he's fine. Both of my boys can have overactive imaginations but it seems to affect my oldest more at night.
