Value has to be earned. It's not intrinsic. A person who does nothing but exist is a burden and negative in value.
In order to have value we must produce something of worth. A skill, talent, labour, companionship, or anything that is valued by the community.
No child left behind == No child gets ahead.
The idea of unconditional love is also bullshit. I valued my parents love because I knew it was predicated on my being worthy of it. I worked for it, and earned it.
Unconditional love has no value, and only erodes any motive for the child to act moralistically.
Some children now think they are owed things from their parents, when really they have an outstanding life-debt to them.
