It can depend I think. I'm doing good with some mREITs. However the city apartment REITs have me worried. I'm also long on a shopping center REIT which is doing okay since it is mostly anchored by grocery stores.

REITs are becoming toxic assets, I used to like them because you get some solid dividends but many are suspending dividends now and just losing value.
