Good link.

diversity hires

Hire the best person for the job regardless of race or gender.

A housing portal (such as My College Roomie or Roomsync) should be implemented as an option in the roommate selection process to allow future residents to choose a roommate based on mutual interests and identities, as well as the expansion and promotion of multicultural learning communities (LC’s) to more residence halls on campus, including upper division and mixed-population communities;

So "of identities" is where race would fall.

How many times do they need to reference "diversity & inclusion training"? I don't know how much that helps. It would be more helpful if people acted responsible and stopped expecting to be treated differently and get preferred treatment based on gender and race.

Note the "Expansions" section at the bottom:

FOR 6: To ensure students of color and marginalized students feel safe in the housing process, a portal program and roommate matching system, such as My College Roomie and Roomsync, should be a voluntary option for all students. We are under the impression from OSL that they are currently working to implement this option for next school year and strongly support this decision. Multicultural learning communities (LC’s) should also be implemented in each residence hall, including first-year, upper division and mixed communities, and Sky Hall. This will allow for more diversity and intercultural communication, as well as give students of color the option of being surrounded by other students who look like them. Students of color have valid concerns that multicultural LC’s will make them more comfortable, feel safer on our campus, and ensuring opportunities for them to grow and thrive.

Seems to imply that students of color will have options not available to white students.

Still, overall the demands/concerns of the protesters are misrepresented by infowars, as one would expect given the extreme source bias.

Yes.

I don't know that I would say infowars misrepresented, as this link reaffirms its claim; but your link is much more informative.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around these double standards.

  1. If whites were asking to 'opt-out' of having black roommates. Imagine the cries of racism.

  2. When whites want immigration laws enforced, it's "diversity makes us stronger".

I doubt whites would care anyways. Let them room together. Let them have their own building, their own college! Funny how it is the blacks promoting apartheid in the US.
