I'm not so sure at this point. Sure we've been dabbling in some proxy wars. But I feel like after two decades, most americans are just kind of tired of it all.
I'm curious to see if we even are allowed to maintain a presence in Iraq after this.

From what I gather, this is the culmination of a tit for tat.
There was a rocket attack (backed by iran?) On a us base that killed an american contractor (builder or mercenary, I'm not sure).
Which we retaliated by bombing an Iraqi militia killing 25.
This sparked the protest on the Iraqi embassy, that was supposedly coordinated by the militia leader and this man in question.
So yesterday they droned both the militia leader and solieomani. (Not sure of other casualties)
That roughly sums up the last week. I can't deny that I'm pretty nervous what will come from this.
