Sounds like "civil war" to me, but I haven't heard anyone using that term yet.
Guaido has claimed leadership for some time. It's not a secret or spur of the moment thing. No reports of attempts to apprehend Maduro.
Semantics maybe, but if it's a coup, I'd think Guaido or Maduro would be dealt with quickly.
I keep seeing that the US is backing Gauido and the uprising, but what does that even mean? The most I've seen was an encouraging word. I feel like the media is just trying to create drama that isn't there.
